Research Associate

Dr. Hanne Roggemann has been a research associate at the iff since 2020. She holds a certificate as an expert in the field of sustainable finance since 2020. Furthermore, she is a member of the Consumer Research Network of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV) and of the Women Economists Network efas. Her research interests include the opportunities and risks of microfinance for financially weak clients, the role of the private sector in achieving sustainability goals, and sustainable investment and responsible lending. Methodologically, she specializes in combining quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis models.

Hanne Roggemann studied economics and Slavic studies at the Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany. In 2015, she received her doctorate (Dr. rer. pol) from the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main. In her dissertation, she explored the informal insurance strategies of rural households in Vietnam. She worked at the German Evaluation Institute for Development Cooperation (DEval) as an evaluator for several years.
