Dr. Sally Peters
Managing Director
Dr. Sally Peters is the managing director of the iff. She has several years of experience as a debt counselor and research associate. Her research and lectures cover poverty, over-indebtedness, financial literacy, as well as counseling and communication in social work. She is a board member of the prevention network of financial literacy and a member of the consumer research network of the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection (BMJV). Furthermore, she is a member of the German Society for Social Work and the German Society for Educational Sciences, among others.
Dr. Sally Peters completed her studies of social work at the HAW Hamburg. In 2018 she received her doctorate in social work at the University of Hamburg. Her dissertation deals with poverty and over-indebtedness of young adults. She received grants from the Hamburg State Research Foundation and the Pall Mall Foundation.
